MEIERHENRY, Justice.

[¶ 1.] Sever Calin appeals his convictions for first degree burglary, attempted first degree burglary, and two counts of injury to property in the second degree. Calin waived a jury trial and pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity. The trial court found him guilty but mentally ill on all charges. Calin appeals claiming it was error for the trial court to reject his insanity defense.
