Donald Champion, a police officer, sued Derek Lewis, JHTG Foods, Inc., d/b/a Dairy Queen & Brazier of Fitzgerald, and Bennett's Fire Protection Systems, Inc. for injuries he sustained while helping Lewis lift a heavy steel grill. The defendants answered, and after completing discovery, moved for summary judgment, relying on the Fireman's Rule.
