MIKELL, Judge.
A Fulton County jury convicted Michael Rivers of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, in violation of OCGA § 16-13-30(b). Rivers was sentenced as a recidivist to 30 years to be served in prison. On appeal, Rivers argues that the prosecution was barred by double jeopardy, that the trial judge lacked authority to preside over the trial, and that his trial counsel was ineffective.
