The state appeals from a pretrial order denying its motion to amend the complaint to add two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and to change one of the original counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct to criminal sexual conduct in the first degree, arguing that the denial has a critical impact on the outcome of the trial and that the district court clearly erred.
