OPINION BY JOHNSON, J.:

¶ 1 In this appeal, we are asked to consider whether Pennsylvania recognizes a claim for professional negligence where a doctor has a covert sexual relationship with a patient's spouse. We conclude that a claim for professional negligence is not cognizable under the facts of this case, because a general practitioner's duty of care does not prohibit an extramarital affair with a patient's spouse.
