Thomas Jackson Smith was convicted of interference with government property for damaging a sprinkler in his jail cell. The trial court sentenced him to serve five years in confinement. He appeals the denial of his motion for new trial, arguing that the evidence was insufficient to support his conviction and that the trial court failed to consider probation as part of his sentence.
