The State charged Demetrice Pinkerton with furnishing harmful materials to minors (a misdemeanor). At arraignment Pinkerton waived his right to counsel so he could speak with the prosecutor about a plea bargain. During his unsuccessful conversation with the prosecutor, Pinkerton made damaging admissions.
