This case arises out of an accident on February 17, 1997 in which Plaintiff Steven Lasar was injured when the 1986 Ford Ranger pickup he was driving rolled several times. Lasar was ejected from the vehicle, suffering severe injuries. He filed suit against Ford Motor Company alleging, in part, that the door latch mechanism on the Ranger was defective...
