A jury convicted Defendant Carlan D. Hodges of being a felon in possession of firearms in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(g)(1) and of receiving stolen firearms in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(j) and 924(a)(2). Following his conviction, Hodges filed a motion for a new trial based on newly discovered evidence, which the district court denied.
