On July 31, 2001, Central Carolina Bank and Trust Company ("Plaintiff) filed a complaint against Security Life of Denver Insurance Company ("Defendant") in the Superior Court of Orange County, North Carolina, alleging breach of contract, violation of statutory lapse notice requirements, and unfair and deceptive business practices.
