EDWARDS, Judge.

Defendant, Lionel Lewis, appeals his conviction for distribution of heroin. We affirm.

On November 18, 1999, Lionel Lewis was indicted by a Jefferson Parish Grand Jury for distributing heroin, a violation of LSA-R.S. 40:966(A). Following a plea of not guilty, trial was held. On July 11, 2000, a twelve-person jury found Lewis guilty as charged, and he was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor, without benefit of probation...
