Jagannadha K. Sastry, Ralph B. Arlinghaus, Chris D. Platsoucas, and Pramod N. Nehete (collectively, "Sastry") filed U.S. patent application No. 07/945,865 ("the '865 application") on September 16, 1992. An examiner with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office rejected all the claims of the application for obviousness and lack of enablement. The PTO's Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences reversed...
