On May 16, 1996, Veronica F. Megonnell, petitioner, obtained a jury trial verdict for $291,000 plus costs against her husband, Mr. Megonnell, after an automobile accident. The Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County entered a judgment in favor of petitioner.
