This case has its roots in the brutal murder of fourteen-year-old Jacoby ("Coaster") Fagan. A jury sitting in the Circuit Court for Harford County convicted Akil Jabari Roebuck, appellant, of the first degree murder of Fagan, as well as the use of a handgun in the commission of a felony or crime of violence.
