Defendant, Mrs. Wanda Schultz, was charged with three counts of cruelty to a juvenile. After a judge trial, she was convicted of one count. Defendant filed a motion for new trial, or in the alternative for post-verdict judgment of acquittal. The trial judge denied the motion and sentenced her to two years of imprisonment at hard labor, suspended the sentence and placed her on active probation for two years...
