Defendant corporation, Sanford Video and News, Inc., was convicted of one count of dissemination of obscenity for selling two adult-theme magazines to a Sanford police officer in violation of N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-190.1 (1999). Under this statute, a violation is a Class I felony. N.C. Gen.Stat. § 14-190.1(g) (1999).
