Plaintiffs filed this class action lawsuit under the Civil Rights Act of 1871, 42 U.S.C. § 1983, and Pennsylvania law. Plaintiffs are nine students enrolled in the Pittsburgh Public Schools and their parents. They allege that defendants, the Superintendent of the Pittsburgh Public Schools and members of the school district's Board of Education ("Board"), voted to close the neighborhood schools they attended...
