In this medical malpractice action, the plaintiff, Gilbert Hayes, appeals from the judgment of the trial court, rendered after a jury trial, in favor of the defendant, Mark J. Decker, a physician. He claims that the court improperly granted the defendant's motions (1) to exclude scientific testimony and (2) to preclude evidence of a commonality of insurance interests between the defendant and the defendant's expert.
