Plaintiffs Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company and Riker Laboratories, Inc. (collectively "3M") make and sell an antiarryhthmic drug called TAMBOCOR.™ The active ingredient in TAMBOCOR™ is a chemical called flecainide acetate. United States Patent No. 4,650,873 ('873 patent) claims a method of manufacturing the active ingredient and United States Patent No. 4,642,384 ('384 patent) claims...
