In February 1998, plaintiff consulted with attorney Eugene R. Spada regarding a possible medical malpractice action pertaining to the treatment received by her daughter at defendant hospital. Using documents provided by plaintiff, Spada obtained an expert medical opinion that a viable medical malpractice case existed.
