On June 2, 2000, Plaintiff, Sherri J. Gradisher ("Plaintiff"), filed this proposed class action against Defendant Check Enforcement Unit, Inc. ("CEU"), claiming that certain activities of CEU violate the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1692-1692o ("FDCPA") (First Claim), and its Michigan counterparts, the Michigan Collection Practices Acts, M.C.L. § 339.901-.920 and M.C.L. § 445.251-.258...
