This is one of several lawsuits stemming from a November 2, 1999, consent decree between Abbott Laboratories (Abbott) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Plaintiffs are Abbott shareholders and they have filed this derivative suit against its directors, asserting that the defendant directors are liable under Illinois law for the harms resulting from the consent decree.
