Richard Button acknowledged his paternity of Vickie Hansen1 in 1986 because he erroneously believed he was her father. Nine years later, the Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED) served Button with a Notice and Finding of Financial Responsibility assessing support arrears in excess of $40,000.
