On July 28, 1999, Petitioner Gregory Dean Childers, a state prisoner presently on parole, filed a pro se petition for a writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 2254. Petitioner asserts that his trial and conviction in Oakland County Circuit Court following a previous military court-martial and conviction for the same conduct violated both the Due Process and Double Jeopardy Clauses of the United States...
