On April 10, 2000, Defendant University of Akron filed a motion for summary judgment in this discrimination case arising under 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981 and 1983. [Doc. 25]. The University of Akron says no genuine issue exists regarding its decision to fire Plaintiff Harvey Hardman. The University of Akron fired Hardman after he had an altercation with a co-worker.
