{1} Defendant appeals his convictions for unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon and trafficking cocaine. On appeal, he contends (1) the trial court erred in denying his motion to suppress evidence and (2) the judge pro tempore was improperly appointed and therefore lacked authority to preside over this case.
