This action was brought by Plaintiff, LifeScan, Inc. against Defendants, Home Diagnostics, Inc. and MIT Development Corp. alleging that Defendants' manufacture and sale of the Prestige meter, a device used by diabetic patients to monitor their blood sugar levels, infringes U.S.Patent No. 5,049,487 ("the '487 Patent").
