Defendant's claim that the trial court excessively interfered in the examination of witnesses is unpreserved for review (see, People v Charleston, 56 N.Y.2d 886, 887; People v Yut Wai Tom, 53 N.Y.2d 44, 54-56), and we decline to review it in the interest of justice. Were we to review this claim, we would find that the court's participation in the examination of witnesses was not so excessive...
