A jury convicted Dennis M. Williams of possession of more than five pounds of marijuana with intent to distribute. Williams contends the trial judge erred in denying his pretrial motion to suppress on Fourth Amendment grounds. Williams also contends the judge erred in refusing to allow his attorney to change his plea from not guilty to guilty after Williams failed to return to his trial following the lunch recess.
