Defendant was tried before a jury and convicted of robbery by sudden snatching and obstruction of an officer. The evidence which authorizes these convictions reveals that defendant snatched the victim's purse as she was grocery shopping and then resisted arrest when police officers apprehended him a few minutes after the robbery.
