CANNELLA, Judge.

Defendant, Thomas A. Normand, appeals from his conviction of possession of cocaine. We affirm the conviction, enhanced sentence and remand.

Defendant was charged on April 14, 1997 with illegal carrying of a weapon by a convicted felon, in violation of La.R.S. 14:95.1, and with possession of more than 28 grams of cocaine, but less than 200 grams, in violation of La.R.S. 40:967(F)(a).1 The defendant pled not guilty...
