Plaintiff, The CIT Group, Inc., a Delaware corporation, ("CIT Group") instituted this trademark infringement action against defendant, Citicorp, also a Delaware corporation, ("Citicorp"). On April 6, 1998 Citicorp and Travelers Group, Inc. ("Travelers") announced plans to merge, disclosing that the merged entity proposed to carry on the combined business of these two financial giants under the name CITIGROUP...
