Luther Gabriel was convicted by jury of indecency with a child. See Tex. Pen.Code Ann. § 21.11 (Vernon 1994). He was sentenced by the court to sixty years' imprisonment in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and the judge ordered his sentence to run consecutively to a prior sentence imposed in 1990 for another charge of indecency with a child.
