Felipe Urquidi (Urquidi) filed suit against his former employer, Phelps Dodge Refining Corporation (Phelps Dodge), alleging that he was terminated in violation of TEX.LAB.CODE ANN. § 451.001 (Vernon 1996). The trial court entered a directed verdict and rendered judgment in favor of Phelps Dodge.
