CHAVEZ, Justice.

This case arose out of an alleged breach of a contract wherein appellant Alejandra Guzman Pinal ("Guzman") had agreed to perform a concert in Pharr, Texas, for appellee Ignazio Carnevale, d/b/a Mamaloca Concerts ("Mamaloca"), who would be the promoter for the concert. Guzman is a citizen of Mexico. For reasons disputed by the parties and not pertinent to this appeal, Guzman did not obtain the necessary work and immigration documents...
