Gladys Laughlin (Gladys) and her husband, Paul Laughlin (Paul) (collectively, the Laughlins), have each appealed from the judgment of the Jefferson Circuit Court entered on June 25, 1996, that followed the jury's verdict on Gladys' claim for damages incurred in an automobile accident the Laughlins allege was solely caused by the appellee, James E.
