Defendant Alphonso Birdsong ("defendant") was convicted, after a court trial, of two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The court then sentenced defendant to serve sixty year sentences on each count of murder and a fifty year sentence on the attempted murder count, all to be served concurrently.
