Eric Johnson was convicted of malice murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in connection with the death of Willie Nichols.1 He was sentenced to life imprisonment for malice murder, and to two consecutive five-year terms for the firearms possession counts.
