The issue presented in this appeal from two convictions of obtaining money by false pretenses is whether the trial court erred by admitting into evidence certain bank records under the business records exception to the hearsay rule. Specifically, the question is whether the bank's vice-president, who had general supervisory authority over bank personnel but no direct supervision over the persons responsible for preparing or maintaining the bank's records...
