On June 19, 1996, defendant, Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. ("Wal-Mart") removed the above-captioned case to this court from the Circuit Court of Calhoun County, Alabama, alleging the diversity of citizenship described in 28 U.S.C. § 1332 as the basis for removal jurisdiction. Plaintiff, Mary Bailey ("Bailey"), an Alabama resident, had sued in the state court, seeking $500,000 in damages for alleged personal injuries...
