Defendant, State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company (State Farm), appeals the summary judgment entered in favor of plaintiff, Karen Witt. We reverse and remand with directions.

State Farm provided an uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage (UIM) policy to plaintiff with a per person coverage limit of $100,000. Following a car accident that resulted in injuries to her, plaintiff settled with the negligent driver's insurance carrier...
