FACTS AND PROCEDURAL HISTORY

On May 20, 1994, Timothy Sterns' truck was stolen from his place of employment. Six days later, a police detective told defendant, Mario Amado Terrazas, that he thought there were stolen vehicles on defendant's property. When defendant gave the detective permission to look around, the detective found the frame and glove box of Sterns' truck, both of which contained the truck's vehicle identification...
