Plaintiff Alexander MacLeod, through his mother, Eileen P. MacLeod, filed a wrongful life action against defendant Dalkon Shield Claimants Trust ("Trust").1 A resident of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, MacLeod originally filed this action in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City, Maryland; the Trust timely removed the case pursuant to 28 U.S.C. §§ 1452(a)2
