A jury found appellant guilty of the offense of intentionally or knowingly causing serious bodily injury to a child by failing to provide medical care for the child when appellant had assumed care, custody and control of the child. See Tex. Penal Code Ann. § 22.04 (West 1994). The trial court assessed punishment at confinement for twenty years. Appellant asserts three points of error...
