The Jones Store Company appeals from a jury verdict in the Circuit Court of Clay County awarding Mary Mathis $50,000 in damages for bodily injuries sustained when she slipped and fell in the Jones Store. Mathis cross-appeals from the court's order granting the Jones Store a $14,128.90 credit against the judgment, for monies paid prior to trial.
