Kenley, 693 S.W.2d 79 (Mo. banc 1985), cert. denied, 475 U.S. 1098, 106 S.Ct. 1500, 89 L.Ed.2d 900 (1986), the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals vacated the death sentence with orders to "reduce it to a life sentence without parole or conduct a new sentencing...
