Demetrius Turner and three others were charged with the murder of a convenience store clerk. Appellant was tried separately and was convicted of malice murder, armed robbery, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony in connection with the homicide. The jury also returned guilty verdicts against appellant on aggravated assault and escape charges.
