A juvenile petition alleging that defendant committed one count of first-degree murder was filed in the Juvenile Court in Forsyth County on 1 October 1993. By order of the Juvenile Court, defendant was bound over to Superior Court for trial as an adult pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 7A-608.
