This case comes before us on the state's appeal from a Superior Court trial justice's decision dismissing the extortion counts in an indictment returned by a state grand jury against the defendants,1 and on the cross-appeal of the trial justice's denial of the defendants' motions to dismiss bribery counts contained in the same indictment.
