In this suit for legal malpractice, a jury awarded Patterson $40,000 after finding that Williams, an attorney she had retained, negligently failed to take action within the three-year statute of limitations to preserve claims by Patterson arising from a 1985 automobile accident in which her car was struck in the rear by another vehicle. The jury found that the owner of the vehicle causing the accident was uninsured, thus enabling Patterson...
